My
name is Annette Johannessen , and I am married to Øyvind Johannessen. We
have two children, Hans Christian og Mathias.
We
have had an interest in cats since we met in Passugg, Switzerland 1997. I
1999 we lived in Sydney, Australia for a year and that was when we got our
firs cat, Bella. Only she had to stay behind when we left, so she is now
staying with some relatives up in Blue Mountains, Sydney.
We
now live on the south west coas of Norway, in Stavanger.
I
first started to interest me for indoor cats, when my housecats kept getting
hit by cars. Lefty lost her brother Nero after just 2 years of living here
with us. Her sons: Pippin and Spiff and then Missy one after another... I
had no choice anymore. I just could not take it any longer. Loosing loving
pets like that is horrible to go through. I then had a choice of what cat I
wanted, and for me Sacret Birmans was a very easy choice with their loving
temper and easygoing nature....and fantastic look.
Sacred Birmans are happy staying indoors, love the company of other felines,
kids and dogs, are very family friendly , pleasant and I can just go on and
on about how fantastic they are. So that was the start of a long search for
the right cat for our family. I was very lucky when I got to buy a fabulous
male cat from a cattery on the east cost of Norway called Pusulf. It would
be another 6 monthes before my first girl showed up. And the funny part is
that she is from the same place that me and my husband meet. Then
another 6 more months and my Betty arrived.
